I was fortunate enough to meet Leeanda over 10 years ago by chance when looking for a local spray tan and waxing treatment when moving into a new area, and I have never looked back.

Leeanda doesn’t only provide a service she cares holistically about your body, mind, and wellness in life.

I never really took care of my skin and now I always have compliments on how healthy and fresh my skin looks. The skin retreat care range has been amazing and I wouldn’t use any other brands it’s all natural, made in Australia and cruelty free. I recently started skin needling and the recovery time has been minimal with great results.

 

On recently completing treatment for breast cancer Leeanda embraced my concerns and  assisted me on my future skin care going forward. Leeanda has recommended several treatments aligning with my specific lifestyle, and I conversely recommend her to all of my friends/family, with my daughter and husband also having seen Leeanda for treatments.

The salon is beautiful and so comfortable and I always feel completely revived when leaving.

Treatments: IPL, eyebrow lamination, massage/facial package.

IPL: I have been treated by Leeanda since approximately mid 2019 when I purchased an IPL package.

After undertaking a couple years of sessions my underarm and bikini hair had diminished almost entirely and so I started the process of doing my legs. After a few treatments my leg hair has now become very sparse and fine and I need to shave them between treatments very infrequently, my underarm or bikini not at all.

At each treatment  Leeanda is professional, thorough, caring and attentive to my needs. If I have ever had a skin question she has always had brilliant advice. For example I mentioned to her that had red bumpy skin and she recommended a good salicylic acid wash I could use along with exfoliating in the shower more, my redness definitely decreased when I remembered to do it!

I also get from time to time a massage/facial package. The packages are always such wonderful value and well marketed at perfect times for me to grab one as a present from myself or family member. The sessions are perfect escape from the daily grind the minute you step in the door. The room is warm and comfortable, the products are beautiful and especially crafted for our treatment; and the pressure and application is always relaxing. I leave feeling refreshed and my skin glowing.  Once I had a bruised eye from my small child bumping me and she recommended arnica cream which worked wonderfully.

Throughout 2023 I had some significant personal health issues and any treatment with Leeanda was comforting and nourishing. It feels like visiting a friend and catching up – whilst all of my skin/hair needs are being effortlessly met.

In January my then 15 year old daughter had gotten hooked on the Mecca Tik Tok reels and had bought and used a stack of harsh skin treatments that caused her skin to become incredibly irritated. She kept  looking online for quick fixes and I put my foot down and told her she was not allowed to buy or put anything on her skin until she had seen my skin therapist Leeanda.

The first appointment with Leeanda confirmed my concerns, and Leeanda explained to us that these harsh skin treatments had caused severe breakage to my daughter’s skin barrier. She calmly but firmly told us that my daughter Mia was close to irreversible damage and pleaded with her to follow the instructions she would give.

Over the coming months, Leeanda saw my daughter for review at first weekly, then fortnightly and  finally monthly just taking all harsh products off the table and initiating a simple, harmless and hopefully restorative skin repair solution.

Leeanda's patience, commitment and expertise saw over time, that Mia's skin made full recovery. Mia would at any time text Leeanda with recommended products or updates on her skin and Leeanda would summarise the ingredients of all the products and give her the "yes" or "no".

12 months on and we have saved Mia's skin barrier and Mia is a strong advocate for Leeanda and the "ban Mecca" message. She often will now say "I wish I could stand outside Mecca and tell all those young girls to not buy the skincare there and send them to Leeanda".

After a difficult, scary and long recovery, Mia now enjoys her quarterly facials with Leeanda and has seriously considered a career in skin therapy to be as knowledgeable as Leeanda is in  the ingredients in products.

I want to take a moment to share an experience that truly turned my skin—and my confidence—around, thanks to the incredible care and expertise of my beautician, Leeanda. For a long time, I struggled with my skin, trying one harsh product after another in an attempt to fix what I thought were the issues. But instead, I only made things worse. My skin became irritated, inflamed, and I was on the brink of completely breaking down. It turned out I had damaged my skin barrier, and I felt hopeless, lost, and scared.

I remember the first time I walked into Leeanda’s studio. I was so uncertain of what to expect, and honestly, I didn’t know if my skin could even be saved. But Leeanda immediately put me at ease. There were times I doubted myself and thought my skin might never recover, but Leeanda always reassured me, offering both professional advice and emotional support and answering my numerous texts! Her kindness and expertise were the perfect combination, and slowly but surely, I started seeing the transformation.

Today, I can say with confidence that my skin is healthy again, and I feel so much more at peace with it. I truly believe that without Leeanda’s guidance, patience, and care, I wouldn’t have made it through this journey. I have been visiting Leeanda at Skin Retreat 3 monthly for the last six years.  When I first had a consultation with her I just hoped for a waxing session that wouldn't leave me with uneven eyebrows as I had had terrible experiences at other local salons.  Needless to say my expectations have been well and truly exceeded.

Now in my late sixties, I have visited numerous beauty therapists over the years, but I have never experienced one like Leeanda. That Leeanda genuinely cares deeply about her clients is evident, her dedication to her clients and commitment to her job are exemplary.
